Reproductive Health Guide for LGBTQ+ Black and People of Colour
by Black Beetle Health 27 April 2021
Reproductive Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity, in all matter relating to the reproductive system and to its functions and processes. This implies that people are able to have a satisfying and safe sex life and that they have the capability to reproduce and the freedom to decide if, when and how often to do so.

This edition of our newsletter is all about ACTION! Today—right now—we challenge organisational leaders, health educators, clinical professionals, academics, and community organisers alike to seize this opportunity and choose ‘change’. We dare you to spring into collective action, which we know has the potential to bring about meaningful change. This means forgiving yourself and others for mistakes of the past, accepting that growth is a process and that patience is required, and actively seeking out opportunities to champion equity in every aspect of the work you do. Take a look inside! :)

InsideOUT Report: Perspectives on Health, Wellbeing and Equality for LGBTQ+ BPoC
by Black Beetle Health 31 August 2021
As both a racially and sexually minorities group, we recognise that existing health interventions for LGBTQ+ Black and People of Colour (BPoC) have long been designed, implemented and dominated by non-LGBTQ+ BPoC identities. As it currently stands, the lack of data may lead to the danger of LGBTQ+ BPoC become even more marginalised within the wider community and/or worse, the creation of harmful assumptions that we either do not exist or that there is insufficient challenge within the healthcare industry. Our latest resource tool 🌈InsideOUT🌈 amplifies the very voices of LGBTQ+ BPoC to understand barriers, residence and the needs of the community. This evidence-based resource will be valuable both at the community level but also in academic literature, as new researchers seek to utilise new methods of recruiting samples and capturing data across marginalised populations.
